Pricing and payment
You get the price on the phone, before we drive out. No surprise charges at the door.
How we quote
Every job depends on the lock, vehicle, location and time of day, so we ask a few questions and then give you a price. That price includes any travel or after-hours fee. If something on site turns out different from what was described, we tell you before doing extra work.
Fees that may apply
- Travel fee for locations farther from central Bakersfield
- After-hours fee for late-night and early-morning calls
Ways to pay
- Cash: no fee
- Zelle: no fee
- Credit or debit card: 3.5% processing fee
Watch out for bait-and-switch locksmiths
A common scam quotes a very low price on the phone and then charges several times more on site. Ask any locksmith for a full price before they come out, and ask for their California locksmith license number.
Common questions
Why do you not list exact prices?
A key for a 2004 pickup and a smart key for a 2022 SUV are very different jobs. A quote for your situation is more honest than a starting price that changes at the door.
